Work Experience.

Can your company offer a placement?

Our Work Experience Programme

Working with Hillingdon Adult Education we set up a pilot project to trial work experience placements for a number of their students, giving them the opportunity for work experience at our office, in a supportive environment. The Pilot was so successful, that with funding from The Cadbury Foundation we now have a member of staff to oversee the continuation of the programme.
The programme has gone from strength to strength; we now work in partnership with property agents Knight Frank who kindly provide property maintenance work experience placements at their local office complex, Hyde Park Hayes. Through this programme, a number of young people have gained a Level 1 FA Coaching Qualification in Football, and are now volunteering in local schools, helping with Lunchtime and After School clubs.

Having a work placement within our team made us realise that large companies can have an impact on everybody in the local community, Daniel has been a valuable addition to the team and brings an energy into the workplace my team thrive off
Simon Cheetham, Hyde Park Hayes Estate Manager
Working at Hyde Park Hayes has improved my confidence and shown me that I can work. This placement has made me realise I can apply for a job and feel part of the community

Can you offer a work experience place?

Having a young person with a disability on a short, medium or long term work placement is a fantastic and rewarding way to diversify and improve your employees understanding of equality and disability issues. In our experience having such young people in the workplace motivates and inspires those around them and can help develop their interpersonal and team participation skills.
